About
For the previous 10 years I’ve been working in Australia in both private creative agencies and in local government across multiple media disciplines. My wife (Renee) and I are Swiss citizens but until now, had never lived here. We decided to go on an adventure, resign from our jobs in Australia, take an extended Asian and European vacation and then settle here in Lausanne.
After graduating with a Bachelor of Science, the first part of my professional career was spent in IT and web development. I started my own web design business and assisted a network of NGOs to develop custom web solutions including a pre-Facebook social platform.
However, I found myself drawn to more creative endeavours and studied creative writing in my spare time, including taking a short course in screenwriting in Los Angeles with Robert McKee.
I sold my business, and found work at a creative agency in Townsville (Vetta Creative). Over the next several years I wrote two middle grade novels, a full length movie screenplay, a documentary, stage play, and a large number of TVC, radio and web series scripts. My primary role at Vetta was video producer although I also continued developing websites primarily using WordPress.
At Vetta Creative we worked with a broad range of clients including James Cook University, National Geographic, TEDx, GBRMPA, Urban List Melbourne, Tiger air, Make-A-Wish, State Development, Australian Federal Government, Trade and Investment QLD, and TAFE QLD.
After five years at Vetta Creative I wanted to experience life ‘on the other side’, so moved to Gympie and joined the local council as their Senior Digital Communications officer. I was responsible for all council video production / photography as well as the day to day management of their corporate and tourism websites.
My wife and I also lived for four years in Mexico, Denmark and the US while working for a global humanitarian organization.
Now I’m in Lausanne looking for full time work in the creative or web development fields. I’m also open to part time, contract or temporary work while gaining experience in the local market.
I’m ready to start work immediately, with a clean Swiss police check, driver licence, and AVS Number.
